Submit the data batches to CardSync and within a few days, you’ll have updates for all data that has been changed — either new card data, a confirmation the existing card is valid, or an indication that the card has been closed.

As a RESTful API, you can use CardSync from virtually any platform or programming language.

Our batch update process allows you to trigger updates at any time. Results may take up to five business days to be returned, so this API is not intended to be used on-the-fly.

In the US, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are supported. American Express will be supported in early 2021. Internationally, those same brands, are supported depending on the issuing bank’s participation.

After submitting a batch of card number inquiries, CardSync communicates to all respective card issuers for any updates. Results can appear within hours, but the full batch can take up to five business days to complete.

CardSync Account Updater is available worldwide.

Yes, CardSync Account Updater will work even if you manage your own cards. Card data needs to be in a PCI-DSS compliant environment. PCI AOC will be required. You maintain control over your own data. You’ll simply pass inquiry batches.

Generally speaking, for a recurring charge service, you should request updates one to two weeks prior to the billing date. For card on file updates, you should submit inquiries monthly or on your average transaction cycle.
